assignment for AP art class: create five pieces starting with the same drawing of your hand.
#1: a cuddly playground friend
(ok so, I complain about the categorization system about every other submission I make, but here I go again. Is anyone EVER going to really want to search for all the "animal characters" done with traditional mixed media that anyone has ever submitted? Just separate the mediums, and the non-fanart from the fanart, and leave it at that! NONE OF THIS NONSENSE PLEASE)
actually what isn't right is Clive Barker's penis paintings XD omg. every time enough time goes by to finally purge those images from my mind, someone brings them up again
(ok, I lie. I kind of liked some of his penis paintings. like the one with the guy carving a face into his business)
(hmm, thought I replied to this but it must have not gone through! well apologies if you get an answer twice XD)
it's cut paper colored with copic markers & acrylics (for the claws/spiny bits ) and yeah, the lines were done with... some sort of pen *like* micron, at least... I don't really remember anymore, haha. And thank you very much!
Haha, that's sooo awesome. I thought you cut out some paper! I could tell with the grass, and I thought for sure with the monster as well... You draw some really awesome hands. I've done a couple of monsters that are just random combinations of body parts, but yours looks absolutely amazing (to say the least). The nails/claws/eyes are also super cool... and the fact that he looks like he's creeping! Oh my goooood, I love it.
Haha, don't mind me, I'm just totally fangirling over your work. That's something I would frame and hang in the hallway. XD
aww, I'm flattered that you like it so much! monsters are fun, I need to draw them more often. It was a cool assignment - we actually had photocopies of the same drawing of our hand, and had to make five separate pieces using the same picture this one was definitely my favorite though.
We love horses, we love drawing, we love gifts, AND we love Christmas. We're gonna combine all that to make Christmas 2009 on dA a seriously awesome one!

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

This is seriously cool. It reminds me Clive Barker's crazy drawings, except with much less penises.
